And Off We Go Again…ROW80 R3/12 Week Year 8

Hey there!

I’m taking a simpler approach to my goals this round. Instead of trying to climb all the mountain ranges at once, I’ve narrowed my scope. I’m also keeping the whys of these goals and tactics right there where I can see them every time I engage with this list.
I’ll post the week’s action plan on Wednesday, since I haven’t created it yet.

Goals I’ve completed will be blue, those in progress green, and those still waiting red.

Okay, there’s a lot here, so off we go!

Selftending:

Year 8/Round 3 Goal:

I install the 12 Week Year as my “operating system” for goal setting and execution.

What will change when I attain this goal:

  • I’ll establish a system for goalsetting, executing and iterating my progress.
  • This will help me to do something I desperately need to learn – to set attainable stretching goals I can achieve without crazy-making effort.

My tactics:

  1. I complete the 12 Week Year goalsetting process. Due Week 1.
  2. I conduct a WAM and after-action review each Saturday night with my accountability partner(s). Due Weeks 1-12.
  3. I adjust my goals and process as needed to achieve 85% of my action plan tactics weekly. Due Weeks 5-12.

Hometending:

Year 8/Round 3 Goal:

I complete 3 major hometending projects.

What will change when I attain this goal:

  • We’ll have a cleaner, more organized, more aesthetically pleasing home that doesn’t require as much work to maintain.
  • I’ll reclaim the driveway and removed the emotional burden of the truck and motorcycle.
  • Our front yard will be on its way to welcoming.
  • I ‘ll have a bedroom which reflects my individual style and delights me.
  • We’ll have a kitchen and dining room with zoned areas for different tasks. There will be a sanity in these spaces that welcomes food preparation, gathering, gaming, and enjoying whatever activities occur there.

My tactics:

  1. I complete my base bedroom reset. (This means all furniture and shelving will be moved/installed/repaired/upgraded, and the space decluttered and organized). Due Week 12.
  2. I clean and maintain the front yard and driveway. (This means removing clutter, organizing, weeding, and mowing as needed). Due Week 12.
  3. I clean, declutter, and organize the dining room and kitchen, creating a more purposeful space. (This means the floor by the door has been patched; fridge, freezer, pantry, cupboards, drawers are organized, all shelves are clean and things are in sensible places with no clutter; prep is done for the kitchen reset; dining room is ready to be used for – yeah, DINING!) Due Week 12.
