Embracing Coziness: #SoCS for December 29,2018

Yes, I know. It’s been a long time since I’ve been here at Stream of Consciousness Saturday. All I can say is that it’s been a year of tremendous change, and blogging fell by the wayside more or less out of necessity for a while.

But, as 2018 fades away, I’m finding my way back into things I set aside.

It’s kind of a cozy feeling.

Okay, maybe not as cozy as these two – new additions to our family this year. But then, what could be?!

Smokey-pup and Noli-dog – our cozy base pair!

We’ve been working hard to make our home as cozy as we can make it. A new roof helped a lot – it’s hard to feel cozy when it’s raining almost as much inside as outside, after all. Several days spend rearranging our jumbled and chaotic living room has yielded an entertainment area where we can gather, and room for a pretty tree. We can’t quite get the woodstove up and running yet (too many burnable items stacked around it), but, once we can, maybe this coming week, that will be cozy too.

We have a long way to go, but my #oneword for 2019 is: Embrace.

Embraces are cozy.

When we were a cozy family of four, and my teens were tiny!

I’m embracing coziness.

This post is part of Linda G.Hill’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday, where this week’s prompt was to “ask someone else” for a prompt. Fallon Brown asked me, so I asked her right back! You can thank her for all the coziness; she gave me “cozy” as a prompt.
