ROWing to the Rhythm: #ROW80 / #12WeekYear MW10

row80logocopy (1)

Hey there!

So I was going to share about how I was finding my rhythm, and moving forward on my goals in a way that makes sense without making me crazy…

And then I “overslept” by almost 2 hours. I put overslept in quotes because I slept nearly 8 hours. I usually sleep only 6 at most, but I’ve had a lot of 2-4 hour nights the last couple of weeks, so I think I was due.

At any rate, I’m scrambling a little today, fumbling with the oars, and trying to get back my misplaced rhythm – with a headache.

What’s your biggest challenge so far this week?

How can you tame it?

  1. Oversleeping seems to be a big migraine trigger from a lot of the research I was given (actually, any major shift from a “normal” sleep schedule seems to trigger them, as well as caffeine, chocolate and cheese… Damn, think we’re a bit doomed there, right Shan?)

Headache and scrambling… and there is still a decent measure of blue and green there, alive and growing, saying “I can do this. It just might take a bit more more time than I’d planned.”

    • “Over” sleeping isn’t really, in this case. Also, my migraines are hormonal – that’s always how they’ve been. They’re not as bad now as they were before menopause, but they still come at about the same time.

My sleep cycles have always varied, usually in accordance with the moon. So “normal” is relative.

Coffee and chocolate actually help. Cheese doesn’t seem to have any impact either way.

      • Never said it was the trigger, just pointing what the “experts” all say… and we both know what “expert” means. Sometimes it means something, sometimes it doesn’t. Best we can do is live life as best we can and hope that it has as many ups as downs.

Or make those as best we can… 🙂

Take a chance! Type something in this box, and see what happens! =D
