Hey there, ROWers and others!

Yup, that’s right. There’s a new Tiny Feline in our lives. Her name, I’m told, is Amelia Rose Burton.

And I’ve got a happy daughter!

Some other stuff happened, too…but mostly, kitten. =)

What’s new and exciting where you are?

Writing:

  • Foul Deeds Will Rise: Trueborn Weft Series #2: Finish draft. Scene 40/50 in progress. Will begin once A Rising Tide is drafted – hopefully before the month is over!

  • Story a Day May (#StaD): Write 30 stories in the Kifo Island world and one fan fiction story; using prompts from the ebook and guests. These will be development for June and July drafting projects. 17/30 complete.

Plotting:

  • The IDIC Romance: Complete plot/pinch points for 26 Boldly Go stories (V-Z remaining).

  • Star Trek Enterprise: Watch episodes/ clips, and/or read transcripts needed to complete Boldly Go stories.

  • Plan Story A Day May Kifo Island stories. (Xavier/Yvette/Zeke is Tsunamis; Ubunta/Quincette/Theresa is The Far Shore.)

  • Kifo Island: Plot either Tsunamis (Xavier/Yvette/Zeke) or The Far Shore (Quincette/Ubunta/Theresa) as my JuNoWriMo  project, using The Writer’s Coloring Book. Downloaded PDF, but my printer and computer had a fight… couldn’t print.

  • Continue plotting stories in my various The IDIC Romance story arcs. Purchase new Aeon Timeline  program, and continue using it as an aid to this process.

Revisions:

  • Complete revisions for “Peach Liqueur Love”, using Sarah Selecky’s Deep Revision process. Still stalled on Step 2/5. Time to move this along.

  • Kifo Island: Print Sea Changes; Readthrough aloud (record and listen). Printing completed before the computer/printer fight. Listened to Scene One, did rough revision.

  • The IDIC Romance: Revise/organize all Boldly Go stories at ff.net. Organize Scrivener files by arc. Continue revising new additions to the Love and Loss and A Backdrop of Stars, as well as “First Contact, With Jazz”; “Mission Accomplished”; and “Scavenger Hunt”. Began revising “Clinging to One Another” for ABOS; Nothing to Me for LAL.

Blogging/Social Media:

  • Answer blog comments and make visits, at least every other day. Sunday, Monday.

  • ROW80: Keep visits and updates current.

  • Maintain email at below 222 messages; making good use of folders.

  • ROW80: Draft Round Three Sponsor Post. 511 words of pre-drafting notes.

  • Post 31 #StaD stories this month. Interact with others at the site. 7/31 done; Still behind; 1 in pre-production.

Hometending:

  • Homeschool Administration: Complete all pending paperwork. Awaiting IHIP approval for next steps.
  • Continue decluttering/beautification projects; in home and/or yard, five days weekly. Continue making improvements to our home and our quality of life. 1/5; study, Lise’s room, family room.
  • Go through all online subscriptions; cancel those we no longer need; at least one each week.

Lifetending:

  • Continue planning/ attending outings (personal and family) as desired. Write-in at Denny’s.

  • NNWM local group: Attend write-ins regularly, and check in on the Facebook group as inspired, submit “Peach Liqueur Love”.
  • My beloveds: One on one time with each, doing something of value to us both, each week. Kitten, canoodling, chatting.
  • Resume full critiquing/posting to critique group. 1/3 complete; crit 2/3 and 3/3 read through. Submitted Sea Changes Scene One.
  • Annie Shot Her Gun: Critique one chapter each week. Currently on page 2/224 (end of scene one). Sent to author to be sure my style and her needs are a good match before resuming. Haven’t heard back yet.
  • Stained by Ashes: Complete readthrough; critique first three chapters. 1/3.
  • Complete three more back book reviews; TBD.

Selftending:

  • Write in Abundance, Intentions, and #onegoodcup journals seven times each week. Meditate seven times weekly. Explore one new meditative practice. Journaling 3/7; meditation: 5/7.

  • Tai chi practice: One class and one at-home practice each week.

  • Swim twice, at least 500 meters (10 complete laps at Y pool).

  • Focus on sprints of activity daily (hometending, dancing, tai chi, walking, whatever), and more strenuous activities I enjoy, like swimming and hiking, thrice monthly. Hometending; 2/3 strenuous.
  • Intuitive Eating: Read. Decided to reread from the beginning; 32% complete; right where I left off in a previous reading.

Leaps of Faith:

  • Use standing desk one work session 3 days per week. 2/3; Sunday; Tuesday.

  • Interact on Twitter at least once a day, three times each week. I AM going to figure this out; if you want to help, find me there; I’m @shanjeniah. 2/3; responded to notifications, explored; RT; liked; followed.
  • Play with business card design. Simmering.

  • Roughly categorize poems for future development. OctPoWriMo 2015 poemsin broad categories.

  • Create beta-reading profile/preferences on ff.net. Preferences done; profile in progress.

  • Play with Weebly and SquareSpace. I quietly have a tiny, brand-new website. Stay tuned for organic growth

  • Complete JuNoWriMo Feature Writer submission; WUR Interview Questionnaire; and respond to the A-Z Participant Survey. JuNo post complete; I got the last slot, thanks to nudges from my bestie-since-forever, Eden Mabee.

  1. I love the kitten no wonder your daughter is happy :-). Hopefully, we’ll get one too once we’re moved even though I start to wonder if that ever happens. Still nothing finished yet. But we’ll get there. Have a great week!

  2. SO love those pictures of Lise and Amelia! Already passed the link on so the bitty one’s former daddy will know she has a loving family. That’s the best part.

As always, a good mix of progress, simmering possibilities and waiting wonders. And much love!

    • She’s a real little character! Lise is doing all her care, and sharing her room (Our older cat adopted me, and our room is her turf.)

She’s made a happy girl happier, and, although things are a bit new-per chaotic, I’m happy with what I got done or moved forward.

Take a chance! Type something in this box, and see what happens! =D
