It’s the weekly hop for everyone who loves to write! We’ve got a variety of genres and talented writers to choose from. Come read one, all, or pick a few like wildflowers or sweet berries….
And, if you’re inclined to share your own 8-10 sentence snippet, follow the link and sign up. It’s a great community to be a part of! =D
This week, I offer you installment #4 in my serialized Star Trek: Enterprise flash fan fiction story, “Mission Accomplished”. We begin right where last week’s snippet, “Vulcans Don’t Scowl” ended.
Trip and T’Pol have a mystery to solve and other ideas on how to pass the evening…and that’s got T’Pol’s Vulcan mind whirring, and Trip trying to keep up…
Stow the Fantasies
Focus, Tucker. Be logical. Stow the fantasies.
“We can’t assume that the home invader was a killer.”
Well, that stowed them, all right – Vulcan bluntness didn’t leave much room for fantasies. Better get this over with, before she completely spoiled the mood.
“It says he’s a killer on the loose.”
“We weren’t told whether the woman died. She may have recovered. Nor can we assume the perpetrator has killed in the past, based upon this ‘clue’.”
Will Trip be able to keep his fantasies stowed?
Will T’Pol spoil the mood?
Is she onto something here?
Will they solve this murder mystery?
Why do they have to play along with the Captain’s game?
Come on back next week to find out!
Need to read back? Here’s all of “Mission Accomplished” that’s been posted, thus far:
“Playing Along”: September 13, 2015
“Wasting Time”: September 20, 2015
“Vulcans Don’t Scowl”: September 27. 2015
Challenges like Story A Day September encourage me to think outside of my own experience. Adding a personal goal, like fitting all of these prompts into my fan fiction universe, ups the ante.
Of course, I also get to play with Trip and T’Pol! =D
And, now, the obligatory disclaimer:
Trip, T’Pol, and Trek: None of these are mine. Can I help it if these two unlikely lovers keep insisting I tell their stories? =)
