Plan B Reflections… August 31, 2015

Round Three is all about reflection, for me: where I am, who I am, where I’d like to be, and who I’d like to be when I get there.

Oh, Monday…how did you get here so fast?

And, Sunday, where did you go in such a hurry?

The last time I checked in, I was eagerly waiting for my new power adapters to arrive. Well, they came, but didn’t solve my problem. Neither could my tech-oriented son.

Right now, money does not exist in our budget to seek repairs, so I’m getting cozy with Plan B – an elderly machine that is quite limited in its abilities, but is able to do most if not all of what I want. Not quickly, and not flexibly, but competently, in a workmanlike fashion.

I made significantly less progress than I’d hoped, and, on Wednesday, (or maybe Thursday), I’ll be revamping my goals for September, taking the reality of reduced resources into account.

  1. that sucks. What was the issue. I was out of commission this past weekend, and I missing stuff. If it’s about battery charge i know that feeling having to buy a new battery AND a new power adapter. TWICE! Well the power adapter was twice, not the battery.

Still sounds like a good week. Hope to flow continues with Plan B. 🙂

    • Current theory is that it’s electrical, but the fix needs to wait until the budget can bear it, and that might be a few more weeks.

In the meantime,I’m making progress, and that’s a good thing. And I will certainly appreciate a modern machine in a whole new way when I have one again!

  2. I’m sorry the power adapters didn’t solve the problem, but you’re certainly keeping a good attitude–what are you gonna do? Right? And I still think you accomplished a lot!

    • I figure that I can’t control what happened to the machine, but I can decide whether or not I’m going to let it be a joy-sucker. I choose not.

I think just making the decision has helped me, because I’m determined to make the most of the enforced break, rather than letting it be a reason to give up in defeat.

And, if I do get this machine repaired, I’m not going to run out of adapters for a while! =D

Take a chance! Type something in this box, and see what happens! =D
