Infected Play: ROW80 Update, 2/19/14

Well, when we were anticipating Jim’s vacation, contracting a nasty virus was not on the list of things we might enjoy. And yet, here we are, downed with another cold.

On the plus side, the kids are healthy, at least right now, and independent sorts. They don’t need lots of tending, anymore, so we’ve been able to rest.

That being said, I was significantly slowed in my writing efforts, this session, although I made great progress on the pre-revision list for Chameleon’s Dish Monday night, as I was beginning to cough.

Tuesday, though….Tuesday, my bed and I hung out together, and, although I did move forward, I often had to set the laptop aside in the middle of a sentence – my mind just stopped functioning.

That being said, here’s my accounting of the last days…

The image of spunk and sass! And she calls me Mommy. =)

    • It helped a lot to narrow my focus for the week. The kids are a little under the weather, but they seem to have a much milder version, thankfully.

Other than some nasty sinus pressure and a lingering hacking cough, and low energy, things are definitely looking up!

      I love sharing links! =)

  1. Hope you guys get to feeling good soon; I’ve been lucky enough *knock wood* not to yet get sick this year — tooth problems not withstanding — and I’m hoping to continue with that luck!

    • Kathy,

I’m so happy you’ve stayed healthy. I usually get 2 or 3 colds a year – this year, I had three in January alone!

May you stay healthy, and have those teeth problems resolved – and may I get and stay healthy!

    • Kassandra,

It’s on its way out – the kids now have a milder version. I’m happy they aren’t as miserable as we were.

I’m hoping it’s the last virus of the winter. It’s been a hard season, here, health-wise.

Thanks for your well-wishes – we’ll take all we can get!

    • Today is better than yesterday. I can at least sit at my desk a bit, and I can finish my sentences.

I’m not sure I’m organized, as much as I am realistic. Although, maybe that amounts to the same thing…

The funny thing is, until well into my thirties, I was about the most disorganized person I know!

    • My trick is to narrow my focus when I’m not feeling up to snuff. And to significantly lower my expectations…

Thanks for the well-wishes; I’m definitely on the mend. Still have some sinus pressure, a hacking cough, and low stamina, but,so long as I don’t push myself, I feel much better.

Take a chance! Type something in this box, and see what happens! =D
