Infectious Play: ROW80 Update, 1/26/14

Three weeks into the round, it feels like someone here has been sick nearly all of it. This session, I’ve been gifted with a nasty head cold. It’s breaking today, but the last three have included chills, aches, sneezing, and sinus pressure that had me bundled up and shuffling through the house like I was several decades older than I am.

I went with the flow; not moving around much when my body was insisting repeatedly that it wanted to meld itself to my bed. Social media suffered, as I was too muzzy to focus, On the other hand, I did delve into several of the niggling little PendingsI hadn’t started yet.

And, today, we’re all feeling better. Hopefully, we get a break from the rhinovirus stampede!

Note: My Wednesday post will include my January progress toward my 2014 goals, and some adjusted goals for February.

And now, a peek at what I’ve been up to (besides sneezing and huddling under piles of blankets and my cozy sweater!)

  1. Sounds like you guys got hit with a bit of the influenza virus rather than the rhinovirus (the Capital District has been experiencing a lot of flu infections this year, according to the news). Sorry to hear that. >HUGS<

Given that, you are getting through a lot of these goals with flying colors! Congrats, Shan.

Oh, and if you are still interested in a get together night tomorrow, Dan says he'll take the Boodle's fencing class. I'm free for a Y visit (maybe a relaxing swim and hot tub soak) and then a cafe visit.

    • Eden,

I know about the flu outbreak, but this wasn’t that. The flu tends to come on quickly, and this nasty cold took its own sweet time usurping our health….anyway, we’ve had a mostly healthy week, since. =)

I definitely wan tto get together, but things seem to be piling up some – I need to do something with the kids this week, and Tuesday is looking like the best day, thus far.Maybe next week…if we can work it around fencing. Didn’t know that changed.

A hot tub soak sounds divine! =)

Take a chance! Type something in this box, and see what happens! =D
