Weaving Prose and Deeper Peace; NaNoROW Update, 11/6/13

I know I usually write exhaustive updates, but I don’t have one today, for a few reasons:

  • I really didn’t consult my goals list this session.

  • I’ve been going with the flow, and Jim and I are exploring the tangle between us, in a way that feels less forced and far more natural than ever before.

  • The kids have had colds, and been a little grumpier and more off-kilter than usual.

  • I’ve fallen deeply in love….with my NaNo WIPpet!

So, what I’ve done the most, so far, is write NaNoWriMo words. As for the rest, taking the time to itemize every detail is time taken away from starting Scene 12 (“Plural Paradoxes”). And, much as I like you all, and reporting in….I’m very, very eager to delve into that scene, and the 48 that follow…

Here’s a quick rundown of some of the other stuff I’ve done…

  • Made my sponsor visits.

  • Got outside every day but one.

  • Attentive time with family.

  • Wednesday blog posts (I forgot Monday’s in my NaNo lovefest, and have no real regrets).

  • Hometending, but no workout due to car troubles.

Still some hard edges, but the skies are lovely and clearing….

And now, for what I was really up to these last few days:

  • NaNoWriMo Count: 25,547/100,000 words. Over one-quarter of the way to my goal -a day ahead of my projected schedule.

  • Completed Scenes: 11/60. Just over a sixth of the way through; a few hours behind schedule, but no concern.

  • Cheat Sheets” for each scene: 16/60. Nearly a third through; I don’t want to get too far ahead with these, so that I can keep them in line with the variables that crop up in the writing.

  • I’ve peeked at a thread on the forum, and touched base with a couple of NaNo Writing Buddies.

And that’s pretty much it. I know, it sounds more exciting living it than it looks in writing, trust me!

Let the NaNo love resume!

  1. Living the moment is almost always more exciting than reading someone else’s experiences…. There is something so much more fulfilling about being “in the moment”. Glad the excitement is more along the healing kind….

Much love and many joyous words to you!

    • MS,

      Hi, again! =)

      Thank you.

I did a lot of prepping for this WIP – maybe 50K worth of planning, developing, and outlining. It’s helped with more than knowing what needs to happen…I’ve been through the story a few times already, deepening it each time, so I am thinking about it even when I’m not writing.

I’ve decided to try the NaNo Saturday Marathon, and see if I can get to my halfway point…and a NaNo win.

      May your words flow!

Take a chance! Type something in this box, and see what happens! =D
